You Can Make a Difference!

On behalf of The Association of Latin American Women, LLC, I am pleased to submit this proposal to gain sponsorship for a cycle charity to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Fundraising Bike Tour in New Zealand

Two of our members, John Piserchio and Matthew Valentin, will cycle 2,000 miles (3200 km) in New Zealand to raise money for research that seeks to cure type 1 diabetes. Their cycle charity will take place over the span of 56 days from February 15, 2018 to April 12, 2018.

Help Find a Cure for Type 1 Diabetes

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type I diabetes research. Their mission is to accelerate “life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes and its complications.” Since its creation, JDRF has generated over 2 billion dollars for research, and has made significant progress in understanding and fighting this disease. Most recently, JDRF has prioritized research for beta-cell encapsulation technologies which can give individuals with type I diabetes freedom from insulin injections for several years.

Support Life-changing Research

The Association of Latin American Women wishes to support JDRF and this life changing research by promoting John and Matt’s cycle charity tour, and we need your help!

ALAW is seeking your support for this fundraiser to benefit the JDRF. We will advertising your company through social media activity. Major sponsors of $300 or more will have their company logo placed on our flyer for added visibility, and you will be formally recognized at our meetings and events during the year. Contributors’ company names will be displayed on our website with your business information and a link to your website.

We ask for a $1.00 per mile pledge. Please indicate how many miles you’d like to sponsor from 1 – 2,000. All contributions, small and large, are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your generous support!

Sincerely,

Sylvia Piserchio
